last night i was privileged to run the anchor leg of the first ever women's 4x1500 meter relay. chloe handed off to katie who handed off to dom then handed it off to me to bring it home with a 3rd place finish to arkansas and LSU. it was our first 4x1500 ever, so with that aside, i would say we faired decent. we need to work on our middle legs and i am finally bouncing back strong after surgery.
i felt so much stronger here in texas than i did last week racing the home meet. in addition to feeling stronger, i ran better. i spilt a 4:44; however, comparable to a 4:38 effort due to strong winds. mentally, this is huge. physically, i felt fantastic. emotionally, i know i can go faster but everything in its own time.
today i get to watch the track meet and go exploring. i am also going to see my friend danielle. we were best friends in high school, more like sisters. she moved to austin a few years ago and is thriving in this amazing city. i am looking forward to seeing her.
