i don't know how to feel anymore

im back to running (thanks be to God, he is the only reason i have the ability to run, i need to remember this more often), except one thing. i don't feel flawless and fast. i am still hurting beyond belief but with the assistance with mr. ibuprofen, dr. dose pack, and senor lyrica, i am high in the sky.
i feel like i have growing pains in my whole right leg. constantly. when i apply pressure to the leg, it's even worse. im not even sure what to think. do i think it is a stress fracture still, no. do i think that it is the nerve, yes. am i convinced that it will heal quickly, not at all.

however, i had a shocking workout this morning. i did 3-mi tempo on hilly pavement around research loop. i split 6:25 (which was so fresh and smooth) 12:37 (i think) and 18:46 (which we picked up with 400m to go). overall i was very satisfied with how the first part of the workout went. then we did 1-mi easy easy (like seriously 8 minute pace) and then on the line immediately to do 1-mi fast. i was behind chloe and simmie for the first 800 meters of the run, then i pulled ahead and ran with simmie. we were really pushing the last 600 meters. it felt so good to get that quick turn-over on my legs again. i finished with a 5:25.
i was very happy considering my leg/nerve situation, the fact i haven't run in a while, and the fact that my mind was just scrambled.

uawa dogs, we CAN do this.

CONGRATS TO ANNA WHO IS NOW OFF THE CRUTCHES,

TO SARAH WHO IS SUCCESSFULLY COMING BACK FROM A SURGERY,

AND TO KALLI WHO IS STARTING TO ELLIPTICAL/EASY RUN!

i love my xc dogs.

this is a picture from the MSU invite. it was run on the horse park. it was a mud-fest. lots of craziness going on. 8 laps around a 1k loop, awesome.

  1. don't worry, stuff happens for a reason. You'll heal and be stronger for it.
